The programme deals with the requalification of a suburban area in the old town centre of Erice between Porta Spada and the church of San Giovanni.
The intervention, which is very complex in zones as sensitive as those close to the historical centre, can be faced by deepening the relationship between public and private space.
The difficult relation between the expansion areas and the historical centre can be revitalised by using new services able to upgrade the grid of expansion around an area of great value such as the old town centre of Erice,.
