PROXIMITY SCALE: SITE OF PROJECT
The site of project is located on the eastern head of the study site and faces with themes common to the whole area of Le Piagge: the connection with the historical villages, the crossing of Via Pistoiese, the new buildings, the park and the river-bed.
Besides, the site is limited by fast roads, by the presence of a cemetery and faces with the park of the Cascine and the opposite river bank.
Programmatic intentions: site of project
The main theme of the site is the concept of the spine of the park able to connect the crossing of Via Pistoiese and the village of Peretola up to the Arno embankments. It is planned: experimental temporary houses for young people, commercial areas, services and activities for spare time supporting the park, the crossing of the railroad, the use of the river-bed.
