PROXIMITY SCALE: SITE OF PROJECT
The site of project is, at present, a not built rural land, bordered on the north/north east by Rodano channel, on the west by the road axis Reggio Emilia-Bagnolo in Piano and by the productive area of Mancasale, on the south by the area of the future intermodal railway station and the opposite parking. Eastwards, the Trade Fair area and the productive/business complex of Max Mara are present.
The area has important natural features (the historical and consolidated Rodano channel, the surrounding rural land) worth to be preserved and reconsidered as an element intrinsic to the future transformation of the area.
Programmatic intentions: site of project
A functional mix composed by trade, residences, managerial sectors, recreational and cultural activities, public services, should be assured.
The heart of the intervention should satisfy the real requirement for the needed innovation: functions of advanced services for the development of new technologies, innovation in the industry, environment and energy, financial services, reorganisation of public administration, media, marketing and quality systems.
