Objective of the association

The purpose of the association is to encourage scientific and cultural exchanges in the field of architecture, housing and urban design, to promote and organise competitions of architecture on the themes related to the city and housing, and to promote the implementation of the prize-winning projects of the competition organised by the association.

To achieve its institutional objective, the association

• promotes and coordinates studies, researches, workshops and international exchanges on the mentioned issues;
• promotes European competitions of architecture, in particular the competition named Europan, in consultation with the European organisations which follow the same purposes;
• promotes and encourages the local initiatives for diffusing the competition results;
• if requested, gives assistance to Cities and/or developers promoting the implementation of the prize-winning projects for the final set up of programmes and to raise financing;
• if requested, assists the prize-winners of competitions in their relationship with the clients of the implementations.
