URBAN SCALE: STUDY SITE
The railway belt, together with the stripe of urban fabric on its margins, expands from the XIX century district up to the North area of the town. Starting from the dismantling of the railway line, which alternates parts in quote and parts buried, several programmes have begun. Among them, two interventions are under way and concern viability (via Piave-Piazza Cappuccini) and cycle path (Piazza Cappuccini-Targia), by using the former rail line. By this way, the urban fabrics have the possibility to use the landscape through the implementation of infrastructural restitch and urban requalification.
Programmatic intentions: urban scale
Reuse of the railway belt for light mobility. Requalification of urban areas. Rehabilitation of the coast. Improvement of the urban mobility. Reorganisation of the roads system.
